The day was none less of perfect in the land of Gorgeous. The sun shone brightly with its rays brimming with happiness, the birds were singing softly, and the clouds were smiling down upon the land, but something dark was brewing.
“I just got a new dress,” Pretty Princess Man said.
“Awesome,” replied Bonnie, who was hoping that it somewhat resembled a bumblebee. “What color is it?”
“It's gold, pink, and purple,” Pretty Princess Man answered. “I got it straight from Dressy McDress herself. It's a one of a kind original.”
“Oh,” replied Bonnie, disappointed in the lack of bumblebee similarity. “That's cool. So what are we going to do now that our ballet lessons are over?”
“Hmm,” thought Pretty Princess Man aloud. “I guess since the day is so nice we could visit the Rainbow Bridge and gaze into the beauty of the rainbows.”
“Okay,” said Bonnie unenthusiastically because nothing they were doing had to do with bees. “Can't we get some honey or something on the way?”
“Perfect!” Pretty Princess Man exclaimed. “That way we can snack on it while we are gazing into the rainbows' beauty.”
Now Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee was at least a little satisfied. “Alright,” she said, “I say we get our honey from Honeybee Honeypants. He makes the best honey throughout all of Gorgeous, and you know how much I love honey.”
“I know,” said Pretty Princess Man. “I remember the week you went without any, that was a mistake I shall not make twice.”
So the two set off skipping merrily, but neither of them had any idea for what was to come. They were transfixed on the beauty of the day and the joyfulness of the land of Gorgeous. No one could have predicted what was to come next.
The two heroes walked past the School of Dreams, and past the town of Astonishing, and finally they came to the store of Honeybee Honeypants. They entered the store, and were welcomed kindly by everyone.
“Welcome Bonnie,” said Honeybee Honeypants. “I see my favorite customer has returned.”
“You bet,” replied Bonnie. “I need some honey before Pretty Princess Man and I go to the Rainbow Bridge to gaze at the Rainbows' beauty on this wonderful day. I'll have the usual.”
“Coming right up Bonnie,” Honeybee Honeypants said. “How are you today Pretty Princess Man on this just absolutely fine day?”
“Just darn tootin' dandy,” Pretty Princess Man replied. “I can't think of a better day at all in all the days I've been alive in the land of Gorgeous.”
“I couldn't agree more,” Honeybee Honeypants answered. “Here you go Bonnie: the honey flavored honeydew.”
“My favorite,” Bonnie said happily.
Pretty Princess Man and Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee left the store of Honeybee Honeypants, and continued on their way to the Rainbow Bridge. Little did they know, that this perfect day was about to turn upside down, and may become the intolerable, repulsive, bad day.
The next half of an hour was spectacular for Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee and Pretty Princess Man. The journey was just marvelous, and as Pretty Princess Man and Bonnie passed the fields of corn the corn smiled back at them and began singing a lovely tune. Today was the most beautiful day the land of Gorgeous had ever seen.
Once past the corn fields, the two heroes journeyed through the Forest of Hope. The Forest was glittering with sunshine today as the sun shone through the trees, and created an effect that was truly indescribable. The Forest of Hope was home to the elves, and today they danced with the two heroes through the forest while playing their Melody Flutes.
At the end of the forest was located the Rainbow Bridge. The Rainbow Bridge was a sight to behold. Looking out from the bridge, Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee and Pretty Princess Man could see the 7 Rainbows glimmering across the horizon next to the Waterfall of Thought which poured down to fill the Lake of Wonder.
Then things began to turn sour. Just as the sun began to set, and as Bonnie was finishing the last of her honey flavored honeydew, Pretty Princess Man heard a sound.
“Bonnie!” he hissed, “What was that?”
“I don't know Pretty Princess Man,” Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee replied.
“It is I!” said an unfamiliar voice. “The Rainbow Troll!”
“Who?” Bonnie asked.
“I didn't know that there were evil things in the Land of Gorgeous,” Pretty Princess Man trembled.
“We have been around longer than the Land of Gorgeous itself,” Rainbow Troll replied. “We have traveled across space and time, and have remained hidden in this land for ages. Today I have made us known. Prepare for you doom!”
“Doom-” stammered Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee. “This can't be happening. This mustn't be real. This doesn't happen.”
“Hold in there Bonnie!” Pretty Princess Man said. “I've had this feeling that not everything was right. Rainbow Troll we will defeat you here and now! PRINCESS POWER COME TO ME!!!”
“I'll help Pretty Princess Man,” Bonnie said with new found confidence. “Bees of the Blue lend me your strength, I cry out to thee now!”
“You shall not leave here in victory,” laughed Rainbow Troll.
“We cannot leave here in defeat!” Pretty Princess Man returned.
“Then you shall not leave,” Rainbow Troll snickered. “Prepare yourselves!”
Then the first fight the land of Gorgeous had ever seen began. Pretty Princess Man started to charge at Rainbow Troll, with Bonnie flying closely behind on the wings that the Bees of the Blue had given her. Rainbow Troll just laughed and quickly jumped aside avoiding the attacks of the heroes.
“Take this,” screeched Rainbow Troll. Rainbow Troll then took out a magical Rainbow wand and swung it. Some dark light expelled out of the wand and rushed towards Pretty Princess Man. Luckily Pretty Princess Man was prepared, and lifted up his cape, sewn together with the love of all of the princesses of the land, and it absorbed the dark light.
“This is not permitted in the land of Gorgeous!” Pretty Princess Man yelled and charged at Rainbow Troll. “You shall pay!” Pretty Princess Man took out his Scepter of Beauty forged by the King of Princesses himself. He swung the scepter down upon the Rainbow Troll, and he shrieked back in pain.
“What is this power?” asked the Rainbow Troll. “Could it be the legendary love?”
“Yes!” explained Pretty Princess Man. “This scepter was made by the King of Princesses, and it was made with the true love that he has for each and everyone of his daughters. No power of darkness can stand up to this! Bonnie come he has no power over us, we are leaving.”
“No!” said Rainbow Troll, “I cannot permit you to leave here alive.”
“You are beaten,” Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee said, and turned to leave.
Rainbow Troll lunged at Bonnie, but Pretty Princess Man knocked back his hand with his Scepter of Beauty. The Rainbow Troll lashed back his hand in agony. “This power is too much,” murmured the Rainbow Troll.
“Now we are leaving,” Pretty Princess Man said. “I don't want you to bother anyone in the land of Gorgeous ever again.”
With that, Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee and Pretty Princess Man turned and left. The traveled back across the land of Gorgeous undisturbed, but the land was different now. The land now seemed burdened, whereas it had been worry free and joyful before.
Bonnie the Blue Bumblebee wished Pretty Princess Man a goodnight and returned to her home after telling him that she'd see him tomorrow at dance class. Pretty Princess Man did the same and went to his house across the lane. Today had been won, but the land of Gorgeous would never be the same again.
